In the Air!

Well, we are in the Air! After months of preperation and bug spray purchases we are finally on the last leg of our journey to India! We departed from sunny Seattle, and got our plane de-iced in freezing Frankfurt, and will be landing in the hot and humid Indian climate in approximately 6 hours according to the teleprompter.

Before we left, the members of our group were wondering which direction we would take from Seattle to Frankfurt (East or West). Well, we went North and it got dark and cold fast! Having a window seat, I was hoping to catch a glimpse of a polar bear on an ice cap, or at least Santa or an elf but I had no such luck. What was visible was spread out groups of fires, of people trying to stay warm in the very cold climate. Villages were spread out immensely and these were the on-foot travelers in between.

So we are flying the German airline, Lufthansa. Which has been very nice so far! We have gotten great meals and great personal access to many movies & TV shows! Additionally, Lufthansa fulfills the important requirement of any airline: not having enough bathrooms, and upon comandeering a bathroom the plane goes through severe turbulence.
